1En as sy offergawe ’n slagoffer van vredeoffers is, as hy dit uit die beeste aanbied, hetsy ’n mannetjie, hetsy ’n wyfie, moet hy dit sonder gebrek voor die aangesig van die HERE aanbied.וְאִם־זֶ֥בַח שְׁלָמִ֖ים קָרְבָּנ֑וֹ אִ֤ם מִן־הַבָּקָר֙ ה֣וּא מַקְרִ֔יב אִם־זָכָר֙ אִם־נְקֵבָ֔ה תָּמִ֥ים יַקְרִיבֶ֖נּוּ לִפְנֵ֥י יְהוָֽה׃“If one’s offering is a peace offering and he offers an animal from the herd, whether male or female, he must present it without blemish before the LORD. 2Hy moet sy hand op die kop van sy offergawe lê en dit slag by die ingang van die tent van samekoms, en die seuns van Aäron, die priesters, moet die bloed rondom teen die altaar gooi.וְסָמַ֤ךְ יָדוֹ֙ עַל־רֹ֣אשׁ קָרְבָּנ֔וֹ וּשְׁחָט֕וֹ פֶּ֖תַח אֹ֣הֶל מוֹעֵ֑ד וְזָרְק֡וּ בְּנֵי֩ אַהֲרֹ֨ן הַכֹּהֲנִ֧ים אֶת־הַדָּ֛ם עַל־הַמִּזְבֵּ֖חַ סָבִֽיב׃He is to lay his hand on the head of the offering and slaughter it at the entrance to the Tent of Meeting. Then Aaron’s sons the priests shall splatter the blood on all sides of the altar. 3Dan moet hy van die slagoffer van die vredeoffers ’n vuuroffer aan die HERE aanbied: die vet wat die ingewande bedek en al die vet wat aan die ingewande is,וְהִקְרִיב֙ מִזֶּ֣בַח הַשְּׁלָמִ֔ים אִשֶּׁ֖ה לַיהוָ֑ה אֶת־הַחֵ֨לֶב֙ הַֽמְכַסֶּ֣ה אֶת־הַקֶּ֔רֶב וְאֵת֙ כָּל־הַחֵ֔לֶב אֲשֶׁ֖ר עַל־הַקֶּֽרֶב׃From the peace offering he is to bring a food offering to the LORD: the fat that covers the entrails, all the fat that is on them, 4en die twee niere en die vet wat daaraan is, wat by die lendene is, en die aanhangsel op die lewer; saam met die niere moet hy dit wegneem.וְאֵת֙ שְׁתֵּ֣י הַכְּלָיֹ֔ת וְאֶת־הַחֵ֨לֶב֙ אֲשֶׁ֣ר עֲלֵהֶ֔ן אֲשֶׁ֖ר עַל־הַכְּסָלִ֑ים וְאֶת־הַיֹּתֶ֨רֶת֙ עַל־הַכָּבֵ֔ד עַל־הַכְּלָי֖וֹת יְסִירֶֽנָּה׃both kidneys with the fat on them near the loins, and the lobe of the liver, which he is to remove with the kidneys. 5En die seuns van Aäron moet dit op die altaar laat opgaan in rook, bo-op die brandoffer wat op die hout is, wat op die vuur is, ’n vuuroffer, ’n aangename reuk vir die HERE.וְהִקְטִ֨ירוּ אֹת֤וֹ בְנֵֽי־אַהֲרֹן֙ הַמִּזְבֵּ֔חָה עַל־הָ֣עֹלָ֔ה אֲשֶׁ֥ר עַל־הָעֵצִ֖ים אֲשֶׁ֣ר עַל־הָאֵ֑שׁ אִשֵּׁ֛ה רֵ֥יחַ נִיחֹ֖חַ לַֽיהוָֽה׃ פThen Aaron’s sons are to burn it on the altar atop the burnt offering that is on the burning wood, as a food offering, a pleasing aroma to the LORD.

6En as sy offergawe vir ’n slagoffer van vredeoffers aan die HERE uit die kleinvee is, mannetjie of wyfie, moet hy dit sonder gebrek aanbied.וְאִם־מִן־הַצֹּ֧אן קָרְבָּנ֛וֹ לְזֶ֥בַח שְׁלָמִ֖ים לַיהוָ֑ה זָכָר֙ א֣וֹ נְקֵבָ֔ה תָּמִ֖ים יַקְרִיבֶֽנּוּ׃If, however, one’s peace offering to the LORD is from the flock, he must present a male or female without blemish. 7As hy ’n lam as sy offergawe aanbied, moet hy dit voor die aangesig van die HERE aanbied.אִם־כֶּ֥שֶׂב הֽוּא־מַקְרִ֖יב אֶת־קָרְבָּנ֑וֹ וְהִקְרִ֥יב אֹת֖וֹ לִפְנֵ֥י יְהוָֽה׃If he is presenting a lamb for his offering, he must present it before the LORD. 8Hy moet sy hand op die kop van sy offergawe lê en dit voor die tent van samekoms slag, en die seuns van Aäron moet sy bloed rondom teen die altaar gooi.וְסָמַ֤ךְ אֶת־יָדוֹ֙ עַל־רֹ֣אשׁ קָרְבָּנ֔וֹ וְשָׁחַ֣ט אֹת֔וֹ לִפְנֵ֖י אֹ֣הֶל מוֹעֵ֑ד וְ֠זָרְקוּ בְּנֵ֨י אַהֲרֹ֧ן אֶת־דָּמ֛וֹ עַל־הַמִּזְבֵּ֖חַ סָבִֽיב׃He is to lay his hand on the head of his offering and slaughter it in front of the Tent of Meeting. Then Aaron’s sons shall splatter its blood on all sides of the altar. 9En hy moet van die slagoffer van die vredeoffers ’n vuuroffer aan die HERE aanbied: sy vet, die hele vetstert; langs die werwelkolom moet hy dit wegneem; en die vet wat die ingewande bedek en al die vet wat aan die ingewande is,וְהִקְרִ֨יב מִזֶּ֣בַח הַשְּׁלָמִים֮ אִשֶּׁ֣ה לַיהוָה֒ חֶלְבּוֹ֙ הָאַלְיָ֣ה תְמִימָ֔ה לְעֻמַּ֥ת הֶעָצֶ֖ה יְסִירֶ֑נָּה וְאֶת־הַחֵ֨לֶב֙ הַֽמְכַסֶּ֣ה אֶת־הַקֶּ֔רֶב וְאֵת֙ כָּל־הַחֵ֔לֶב אֲשֶׁ֖ר עַל־הַקֶּֽרֶב׃And from the peace offering he shall bring a food offering to the LORD consisting of its fat: the entire fat tail cut off close to the backbone, the fat that covers the entrails, all the fat that is on them, 10en die twee niere en die vet wat daaraan is, wat by die lendene is, en die aanhangsel op die lewer; saam met die niere moet hy dit wegneem.וְאֵת֙ שְׁתֵּ֣י הַכְּלָיֹ֔ת וְאֶת־הַחֵ֨לֶב֙ אֲשֶׁ֣ר עֲלֵהֶ֔ן אֲשֶׁ֖ר עַל־הַכְּסָלִ֑ים וְאֶת־הַיֹּתֶ֨רֶת֙ עַל־הַכָּבֵ֔ד עַל־הַכְּלָיֹ֖ת יְסִירֶֽנָּה׃both kidneys with the fat on them near the loins, and the lobe of the liver, which he is to remove with the kidneys. 11En die priester moet dit op die altaar laat opgaan in rook, as kos, ’n vuuroffer aan die HERE.וְהִקְטִיר֥וֹ הַכֹּהֵ֖ן הַמִּזְבֵּ֑חָה לֶ֥חֶם אִשֶּׁ֖ה לַיהוָֽה׃ פThen the priest is to burn them on the altar as food, a food offering to the LORD.

12En as sy offergawe ’n geit is, moet hy dit voor die aangesig van die HERE aanbied.וְאִ֥ם עֵ֖ז קָרְבָּנ֑וֹ וְהִקְרִיב֖וֹ לִפְנֵ֥י יְהוָֽה׃If one’s offering is a goat, he is to present it before the LORD. 13Hy moet sy hand op sy kop lê en dit voor die tent van samekoms slag, en die seuns van Aäron moet sy bloed rondom teen die altaar gooi.וְסָמַ֤ךְ אֶת־יָדוֹ֙ עַל־רֹאשׁ֔וֹ וְשָׁחַ֣ט אֹת֔וֹ לִפְנֵ֖י אֹ֣הֶל מוֹעֵ֑ד וְ֠זָרְקוּ בְּנֵ֨י אַהֲרֹ֧ן אֶת־דָּמ֛וֹ עַל־הַמִּזְבֵּ֖חַ סָבִֽיב׃He must lay his hand on its head and slaughter it in front of the Tent of Meeting. Then Aaron’s sons shall splatter its blood on all sides of the altar. 14En hy moet daarvan sy offergawe bring, ’n vuuroffer aan die HERE: die vet wat die ingewande bedek en al die vet wat aan die ingewande is,וְהִקְרִ֤יב מִמֶּ֨נּוּ֙ קָרְבָּנ֔וֹ אִשֶּׁ֖ה לַֽיהוָ֑ה אֶת־הַחֵ֨לֶב֙ הַֽמְכַסֶּ֣ה אֶת־הַקֶּ֔רֶב וְאֵת֙ כָּל־הַחֵ֔לֶב אֲשֶׁ֖ר עַל־הַקֶּֽרֶב׃And from his offering he shall present a food offering to the LORD: the fat that covers the entrails, all the fat that is on them, 15en die twee niere en die vet wat daaraan is, wat by die lendene is, en die aanhangsel op die lewer; saam met die niere moet hy dit wegneem.וְאֵת֙ שְׁתֵּ֣י הַכְּלָיֹ֔ת וְאֶת־הַחֵ֨לֶב֙ אֲשֶׁ֣ר עֲלֵהֶ֔ן אֲשֶׁ֖ר עַל־הַכְּסָלִ֑ים וְאֶת־הַיֹּתֶ֨רֶת֙ עַל־הַכָּבֵ֔ד עַל־הַכְּלָיֹ֖ת יְסִירֶֽנָּה׃both kidneys with the fat on them near the loins, and the lobe of the liver, which he is to remove with the kidneys. 16En die priester moet hulle op die altaar laat opgaan in rook, as kos, ’n vuuroffer tot ’n aangename reuk. Alle vet is van die HERE.וְהִקְטִירָ֥ם הַכֹּהֵ֖ן הַמִּזְבֵּ֑חָה לֶ֤חֶם אִשֶּׁה֙ לְרֵ֣יחַ נִיחֹ֔חַ כָּל־חֵ֖לֶב לַיהוָֽה׃Then the priest is to burn the food on the altar as a food offering, a pleasing aroma. All the fat is the LORD’s.

17’n Ewige insetting vir julle geslagte in al julle woonplekke: julle mag geen vet en geen bloed eet nie.

Letterlik: Al die vet en al die bloed mag julle nie eet nie.

חֻקַּ֤ת עוֹלָם֙ לְדֹרֹ֣תֵיכֶ֔ם בְּכֹ֖ל מֽוֹשְׁבֹתֵיכֶ֑ם כָּל־חֵ֥לֶב וְכָל־דָּ֖ם לֹ֥א תֹאכֵֽלוּ׃ פThis is a permanent statute for the generations to come, wherever you live: You must not eat any fat or any blood.”
