Then the LORD said to Moses, “Go to Pharaoh and tell him that this is what the LORD says: ‘Let My people go, so that they may worship Me.2Aäron het sy hand uitgesteek oor die waters van Egipte, en die paddas het opgekom en die land Egipte bedek. But if you refuse to let them go, I will plague your whole country with frogs.3Die towenaars het so gedoen met hulle geheime kunste en die paddas laat opkom oor die land Egipte. The Nile will teem with frogs, and they will come into your palace and up to your bedroom and onto your bed, into the houses of your officials and your people, and into your ovens and kneading bowls.4Toe het Farao vir Moses en Aäron geroep en gesê: “Bid tot die HERE dat Hy die paddas van my en van my volk wegneem, dan sal ek die volk laat gaan, sodat hulle aan die HERE kan offer.” The frogs will come up on you and your people and all your officials.’”5Moses het vir Farao gesê: “Wys jou eer teenoor my: vir wanneer moet ek smeek vir jou en vir jou dienaars en vir jou volk, om die paddas van jou en van jou huise af uit te roei?
