1En die HERE het met Moses gepraat en gesê:וַיְדַבֵּ֥ר יְהוָ֖ה אֶל־מֹשֶׁ֥ה לֵּאמֹֽר׃Then the LORD said to Moses,2“Kyk, Ek het Besaleël, die seun van Uri, die seun van Hur, van die stam Juda, by name geroep.רְאֵ֖ה קָרָ֣אתִֽי בְשֵׁ֑ם בְּצַלְאֵ֛ל בֶּן־אוּרִ֥י בֶן־ח֖וּר לְמַטֵּ֥ה יְהוּדָֽה׃“See, I have called by name Bezalel son of Uri, the son of Hur, of the tribe of Judah.3en Ek het hom met die Gees van God vervul, met wysheid en met verstand en met kennis en met allerlei werk,aOf: met ’n gees van Godוָאֲמַלֵּ֥א אֹת֖וֹ ר֣וּחַ אֱלֹהִ֑ים בְּחָכְמָ֛ה וּבִתְבוּנָ֥ה וּבְדַ֖עַת וּבְכָל־מְלָאכָֽה׃And I have filled him with the Spirit of God, with skill, ability, and knowledge in all kinds of craftsmanship,4om ontwerpe uit te dink, om in goud en in silwer en in koper te werk,aLetterlik: om gedagtes te dinkלַחְשֹׁ֖ב מַחֲשָׁבֹ֑ת לַעֲשׂ֛וֹת בַּזָּהָ֥ב וּבַכֶּ֖סֶף וּבַנְּחֹֽשֶׁת׃to design artistic works in gold, silver, and bronze,5en in die bewerking van stene om in te lê, en in die bewerking van hout, om allerlei werk te doen.וּבַחֲרֹ֥שֶׁת אֶ֛בֶן לְמַלֹּ֖את וּבַחֲרֹ֣שֶׁת עֵ֑ץ לַעֲשׂ֖וֹת בְּכָל־מְלָאכָֽה׃to cut gemstones for settings, and to carve wood, so that he may be a master of every craft.6En Ek, kyk, Ek het saam met hom Oholiab, die seun van Agisamak, van die stam Dan, gegee; en in die hart van elkeen wat wys van hart is, het Ek wysheid gegee, en hulle moet alles maak wat Ek jou beveel het:וַאֲנִ֞י הִנֵּ֧ה נָתַ֣תִּי אִתּ֗וֹ אֵ֣ת אָהֳלִיאָ֞ב בֶּן־אֲחִֽיסָמָךְ֙ לְמַטֵּה־דָ֔ן וּבְלֵ֥ב כָּל־חֲכַם־לֵ֖ב נָתַ֣תִּי חָכְמָ֑ה וְעָשׂ֕וּ אֵ֖ת כָּל־אֲשֶׁ֥ר צִוִּיתִֽךָ׃Moreover, I have selected Oholiab son of Ahisamach, of the tribe of Dan, as his assistant. Volgens alles wat Ek jou beveel het, moet hulle dit maak.”וְאֵ֨ת שֶׁ֧מֶן הַמִּשְׁחָ֛ה וְאֶת־קְטֹ֥רֶת הַסַּמִּ֖ים לַקֹּ֑דֶשׁ כְּכֹ֥ל אֲשֶׁר־צִוִּיתִ֖ךָ יַעֲשֽׂוּ׃ פin addition to the anointing oil and fragrant incense for the Holy Place. They are to make them according to all that I have commanded you.”
12En die HERE het vir Moses gesê:וַיֹּ֥אמֶר יְהוָ֖ה אֶל־מֹשֶׁ֥ה לֵּאמֹֽר׃And the LORD said to Moses,13“En jy, praat met die Israeliete en sê: ‘Julle moet My sabbatte sekerlik onderhou, want dit is ’n teken tussen My en julle, vir julle geslagte, sodat julle kan weet dat Ek die HERE is wat julle heilig.aOf: Veral My sabbatte moet julle onderhouוְאַתָּ֞ה דַּבֵּ֨ר אֶל־בְּנֵ֤י יִשְׂרָאֵל֙ לֵאמֹ֔ר אַ֥ךְ אֶת־שַׁבְּתֹתַ֖י תִּשְׁמֹ֑רוּ כִּי֩ א֨וֹת הִ֜וא בֵּינִ֤י וּבֵֽינֵיכֶם֙ לְדֹרֹ֣תֵיכֶ֔ם לָדַ֕עַת כִּ֛י אֲנִ֥י יְהוָ֖ה מְקַדִּשְׁכֶֽם׃“Tell the Israelites, ‘Surely you must keep My Sabbaths, for this will be a sign between Me and you for the generations to come, so that you may know that I am the LORD who sanctifies you.14Julle moet dan die sabbat onderhou, want dit is heilig vir julle. Anyone who profanes it must surely be put to death. Elkeen wat op die sabbatdag werk doen, moet sekerlik gedood word.שֵׁ֣שֶׁת יָמִים֮ יֵעָשֶׂ֣ה מְלָאכָה֒ וּבַיּ֣וֹם הַשְּׁבִיעִ֗י שַׁבַּ֧ת שַׁבָּת֛וֹן קֹ֖דֶשׁ לַיהוָ֑ה כָּל־הָעֹשֶׂ֧ה מְלָאכָ֛ה בְּי֥וֹם הַשַּׁבָּ֖ת מ֥וֹת יוּמָֽת׃For six days work may be done, but the seventh day is a Sabbath of complete rest, holy to the LORD. Whoever does any work on the Sabbath day must surely be put to death.16En die Israeliete moet die sabbat onderhou, om die sabbat te hou deur hulle geslagte heen, as ’n ewige verbond.aLetterlik: om die sabbat te doenוְשָׁמְר֥וּ בְנֵֽי־יִשְׂרָאֵ֖ל אֶת־הַשַּׁבָּ֑ת לַעֲשׂ֧וֹת אֶת־הַשַּׁבָּ֛ת לְדֹרֹתָ֖ם בְּרִ֥ית עוֹלָֽם׃The Israelites must keep the Sabbath, celebrating it as a permanent covenant for the generations to come.17Tussen My en die Israeliete is dit vir ewig ’n teken; want in ses dae het die HERE die hemel en die aarde gemaak, en op die sewende dag het Hy gerus en Hom verkwik.’”aOf: en asem geskepבֵּינִ֗י וּבֵין֙ בְּנֵ֣י יִשְׂרָאֵ֔ל א֥וֹת הִ֖וא לְעֹלָ֑ם כִּי־שֵׁ֣שֶׁת יָמִ֗ים עָשָׂ֤ה יְהוָה֙ אֶת־הַשָּׁמַ֣יִם וְאֶת־הָאָ֔רֶץ וּבַיּוֹם֙ הַשְּׁבִיעִ֔י שָׁבַ֖ת וַיִּנָּפַֽשׁ׃ סIt is a sign between Me and the Israelites forever; for in six days the LORD made the heavens and the earth, but on the seventh day He rested and was refreshed.’”
18En Hy het aan Moses, toe Hy klaar met hom op die berg Sinai gepraat het, die twee tafels van die getuienis gegee, tafels van klip, geskryf met die vinger van God.וַיִּתֵּ֣ן אֶל־מֹשֶׁ֗ה כְּכַלֹּתוֹ֙ לְדַבֵּ֤ר אִתּוֹ֙ בְּהַ֣ר סִינַ֔י שְׁנֵ֖י לֻחֹ֣ת הָעֵדֻ֑ת לֻחֹ֣ת אֶ֔בֶן כְּתֻבִ֖ים בְּאֶצְבַּ֥ע אֱלֹהִֽים׃When the LORD had finished speaking with Moses on Mount Sinai, He gave him the two tablets of the Testimony, tablets of stone inscribed by the finger of God.
