1Die HERE het met Moses gepraat en gesê:וַיְדַבֵּ֥ר יְהוָ֖ה אֶל־מֹשֶׁ֥ה לֵּאמֹֽר׃Then the LORD said to Moses,2“Gebied die Israeliete dat hulle vir jou suiwer olyfolie bring, gestamp vir die lig, om 'n lamp gedurig te laat brand.aLetterlik: seuns van Israel.bLetterlik: om 'n lamp gedurig te laat opgaan.צַ֞ו אֶת־בְּנֵ֣י יִשְׂרָאֵ֗ל וְיִקְח֨וּ אֵלֶ֜יךָ שֶׁ֣מֶן זַ֥יִת זָ֛ךְ כָּתִ֖ית לַמָּא֑וֹר לְהַעֲלֹ֥ת נֵ֖ר תָּמִֽיד׃“Command the Israelites to bring you pure oil of pressed olives for the light, to keep the lamps burning continually.3Buite die voorhangsel van die getuienis, in die tent van samekoms, moet Aäron dit rangskik van aand tot môre voor die aangesig van die HERE, gedurig; 'n insetting vir ewig vir julle geslagte. Outside the veil of the Testimony in the Tent of Meeting, Aaron is to tend the lamps continually before the LORD from evening until morning. This is to be a permanent statute for the generations to come.4Op die rein kandelaar moet hy die lampe rangskik voor die aangesig van die HERE, gedurig. He shall tend the lamps on the pure gold lampstand before the LORD continually.

Now the son of an Israelite mother and an Egyptian father went out among the Israelites, and a fight broke out in the camp between him and an Israelite.11Die seun van die Israelitiese vrou het die Naam gelaster en gevloek, en hulle het hom na Moses gebring. The son of the Israelite woman blasphemed the Name with a curse. So they brought him to Moses. (His mother’s name was Shelomith daughter of Dibri, of the tribe of Dan.)12Hulle het hom in bewaring gehou om vir hulle duidelikheid te kry volgens die mond van die HERE. They placed him in custody until the will of the LORD should be made clear to them.
13Die HERE het met Moses gepraat en gesê:וַיְדַבֵּ֥ר יְהוָ֖ה אֶל־מֹשֶׁ֥ה לֵּאמֹֽר׃Then the LORD said to Moses,14“Bring die vloeker uit, buite die kamp, en almal wat dit gehoor het, moet hulle hande op sy kop lê, en die hele vergadering moet hom stenig.הוֹצֵ֣א אֶת־הַֽמְקַלֵּ֗ל אֶל־מִחוּץ֙ לַֽמַּחֲנֶ֔ה וְסָמְכ֧וּ כָֽל־הַשֹּׁמְעִ֛ים אֶת־יְדֵיהֶ֖ם עַל־רֹאשׁ֑וֹ וְרָגְמ֥וּ אֹת֖וֹ כָּל־הָעֵדָֽה׃“Take the blasphemer outside the camp, and have all who heard him lay their hands on his head; then have the whole assembly stone him.15En met die Israeliete moet jy praat en sê: ‘Wanneer iemand, wie ook al, sy God vloek, sal hy sy sonde dra.aLetterlik: Man, man. And you are to tell the Israelites, ‘If anyone curses his God, he shall bear the consequences of his sin.16En wie die Naam van die HERE laster, moet sekerlik gedood word; die hele vergadering moet hom sekerlik stenig.
